Friday 2 – Comedy Carnival Leicester Square
A super-strength line-up in town, with Ben Norris, comedian-magician Pete Firman, Sean Collins and MC Pete Jonas.


Nov 2-3 – Seann Walsh
One of the finest observational comics around, Seann Walsh, performs the best bits from his first three shows at Leicester Square Theatre.


Sunday 4 – Rise of the Idiots
Balham-based club steps up a gear to makes its LiF Top 20 debut.


Nov 4 & 12 – Alan Davies, Life Is Pain
QI whipping boy and celebrity Gooner Davies (pictured) ends his stand-up hiatus with a new show, which comes to Richmond and Hackney Theatres.


Nov 5-9 – Josie Long, Romance and Adventure
A surprisingly short run for Long's most recent and Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated show.


Tuesday 6 – Electiongiggle US 2012
A comedy-politics all-nighter that climaxes in the result of the US presidential election, featuring comics (Thom Tuck, Scott Capurro etc) and politicos. Features an all-night bar.


Saturday 10 – the Boat Show
With quick-witted Irishman Neil Delamere, Dan Nightingale, the dry and extremely funny Kerry Godliman and MC Michael Legge ...


Monday 12 – Monday Club 16th Birthday Show
... and at the same venue (Tattershall Castle) a brilliant line-up for this birthday special including Tom Stade, Marcel Lucont and Daniel Simonsen.


Wednesday 14 – Knock2Bag
K2B's Shepherd's Bush branch welcomes Nick Helm, Brian Gittins, Claudia O’Doherty, James Acaster and more.

Tuesday 13 – Laugh Out London
Cracking line-up here – satire behemoth Andy Zaltzman, multimedia mentalist David Trent, deadpan prop man Ben Target, unorthodox sketch duo Two Episodes of Mash and rising star Matt Rees.


Nov 15-24 – Tim Key, Masterslut
Surely the last outing for Tim Key's 2011 wonderful show which is another gentle cabaret of poetry, video, stunts ... and a bath.


Sunday 18 – Reggie Watts at the Chapel
Insanely talented Brooklyn comic/musician/all-round entertainer Reggie Watts (pictured) performs a one-off solo show at Islington's Union Chapel.


Thursday 22 – Laugh Or the Polar Bear Gets It
A bumper fundraising show for Friends of the Earth, featuring Stewart Lee, Ed Byrne, Josh Widdicombe, Beardy Man and plenty more. Another notable fundraiser is on November 19 for Street Child of Sierra Leone – Milton Jones, Marcus Brigstocke and Phill Jupitus are among the guests.


Sunday 25 – Weirdos Presents ... Black Tie Dinner
A comedy night in a restaurant where you pay for the food but the comedy (the after-dinner speeches) is free. Expect barely concealed chaos.


Tuesday 27 – Greg Davies – The Back Of My Mum's Head
Comedy/man mountain Greg Davies performs his new show at the Hammersmith Apollo.


Wednesday 28 – Tim Minchin and Band
A one-off show by Minchin at the Coronet in Elephant & Castle – a venue not normally noted for its comedy. Will sell out very soon.


Saturday 24 – Comedy Tree
A classy line-up at Fulham/Putney's new club: Tom Stade, Zoe Lyons, Alistair Barrie and Jessica Fostekew.


Nov 22-Dec 1 – Sheeps, Dancing With Lisa
Unorthodox sketch trio and LiF favourites Sheeps perform their Edinburgh show at the Soho. The same venue is also hosting crackers this month from Brendon Burns, Susan Calman and Josh Widdicombe.
