This week's parish notices are on Showstoppers! the Musical, new clubs and the plight of starving comics

Showstoppers! the Musical

• Charity fundraisers are nothing new to comedy, but in the case of the Hungry Comedians Comedy Club at Canal Café Theatre, they have become the charity in question. Lee Kern hosts, and the comics are paid in food brought by the audience, so please, please give generously. Full details here.

• For those of you whose life is affected by half-term, improvised musical juggernaut Showstoppers! the Musical (pictured) is putting on a family-friendly show as part of its Charing Cross Theatre. It takes place at 3pm on Sunday, November 4. Full listing info and booking here.

• There's a new Laughing Boy Comedy Club in town. Comedy monolith Off the Kerb is adding to its London Bridge outlet by opening up at Jamm on Brixton Road. The first night is November 6 and features Nathan Caton, Vikki Stone and more. Deets here.

• Thoroughly middle-class and rather excellent sketch trio WitTank has a new residency at the Courtyard Theatre in Shoreditch. Listings info here.
