Friday video: David Baddiel back in the stand-up groove

Friday, June 18 2010

David Baddiel hasn't done stand-up since about 2003, and this week he announced he is BACK with a show at the IndogO2 alongside Tim Key, Richard Herring and Andrew Maxwell.

To mark Baddiel's return, here is some footage of him in his solo stand-up guise, long after the much-maligned "comedy is the new rock n roll" days with Rob Newman. It's not scintillating and pretty dated (check out the moody indie intro and inexplicably wild applause when he slays the 'holy cow' of raving), but the boy can write. Who's to say he won't come up with the goods now?
