Where to see Angelos Epithemiou:

Camden Crawl rises to its comedy feet

Tuesday, March 16 2010

Hi! A heads up about this year's Camden Crawl, which is looking, for the first time, properly comedy-tastic.

London is Funny is something of a veteran of the Camden Crawl – a moth to those perenially irresistible flames, music and alcohol. But as the 'Crawl has grown and grown in recent years, its comedy content has been, to put it politely, tokenistic.

However! Check out this bad boy of a line-up: Robin Ince, Rufus Hound, Pappy's, Holly Walsh, Brendon Burns, Angelos (pictured), Isy Suttie ... the list literally goes on. And London is Funny doffs its cap towards the organisers for upping its game so well.

Let's face it it, it'll come in handy. There's only so much jumping about/wistfully gazing at groups of skinny-jeaned boys one can do before you need to crack a smile. And the venues where you can sit down with a pint and enjoy the comedy the Camden Head, where the Fix will be in residence, the 55 Bar and other venues to be confirmed.

Meanwhile the big music names on the bill are Roots Manuva, Sugababes, Lostprophets, Billy Childish, Teenage Fanclub and We Are Scientists.

Have a good time, and feel free to leave and important part of your brain, somewhere, somewhere, in a venue, in Camden.
