Russell Kane was nominated last year for the full If.Comedy Award, and he's back with Human Dressage, a show of an anthropological bent.
What is your show, Human Dressage, about?
It's about the little displays and dances we do that make us, and make us into what we'd like to be.
Why did you decide to do a show about this?
I love sociology and human social behavour. I love the infinitesimal twitches and wanton squirts of being a full human.
If your show was a dog, what kind of dog would it be?
A cocker spaniel: lot's of energy with a pathetic desire for acceptance.

Is the Edinburgh Comedy Award important to you?
I got nominated last year and millions of lovely things happened. It's nice to be groomed by The Alphas.
What is the most frightening thing about the Edinburgh Festival?
Performing stand-up comedy. It makes me shit my little pants.

The Mitre. Great haggis. Beer: everywhere.
